Social Responsibility

Wise Woman Herbals® has never wavered from its commitment to support the natural medicine community. As our business has grown so has our social responsibility to our local community, the educational and professional organizations within the botanical and natural healthcare industry, and the sustainability of our environment.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We are proud of the many community programs that we support, particularly so of Meals on Wheels® in our hometown of Creswell, Oregon. This program offers nutritious meals delivered to the homes of individuals who might not otherwise be able to obtain regular nutrition. This program is geared toward the elderly residents of our community who would go hungry were it not for this service. In addition to providing nourishment, volunteers also offer friendship and a regular check on the safety and well-being of the recipients. The Meals on Wheels representative may be the only person the recipient comes into contact with all week. This is truly a vital service for the infirmed, disabled, and elderly residents of our community, and we are proud to offer our support.

EDUCATION

Wise Woman Herbals is recognized for its enthusiastic support of medical programs and students training to be future healthcare professionals throughout the U.S. We sponsor many Community Outreach Clinics affiliated with medical universities, 501 c3 non-profit clinics, and trade associations offering continuing education on the state and national level. These efforts help to support the Naturopathic, Acupuncture, and Chiropractic professions.

RESEARCH

Wise Woman Herbals supplies raw plant material and botanical supplements, along with support for other research studies conducted in the U.S., at the Helfgott Research Center, Naturopathic, and Chiropractic institutions.

ORGANIZATIONS

We supply ongoing support at the corporate level to state and national associations to support the important work being done by these organizations to further national medicine. Among the professional organizations we support are the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), American Herbal Products Association (AHPA), The American Botanical Council, United Plant Savers, and the Herb Research Foundation.

SUSTAINABILITY

Wise Woman Herbals' extensive sustainability policies and procedures incorporated consistently with the mantra 'reduce, reuse, and recycle' are designed to minimize our company's carbon footprint. Every WWH employee is encouraged to help implement innovative practical procedures that will help to reduce waste from the production stream and reuse items that might normally end up in a landfill. We have been recognized for our efforts in this realm and received numerous awards for our dedication to sustainability and protecting the environment.
