Our Story

HISTORY

Since 1989, tradition and consistency have provided the foundation for Wise Woman Herbals® whole herb products, and we continue our unwavering commitment to implementing formulations and techniques that have made us the leading producer of traditional botanical supplements to professionals. Our proprietary blends and handmade processing techniques have been handed down through an unbroken chain from the company's founder to our current staff of highly trained botanical production laboratory technicians. Each member of our staff is devoted to helping people discover better health, vitality, and improved quality of life through natural means.

MISSION

Our mission at Wise Woman Herbals is to provide a gentle and natural way for improving people's quality of life by offering superior quality botanical supplements; resulting in a healthier, more balanced and sustainable world.

PHILOSOPHY

The name Wise Woman Herbals was chosen to honor the early European herbalists. We honor them further by producing over 325 whole-herb supplements using updated time-tested traditional processes. We do not produce standardized extracts that strive to attain certain concentrations of a single chemical component at the expense of losing essential cofactors because we believe all of the plant constituents are required to provide a completely beneficial botanical product as intended by nature.

We perform ongoing inspections from initial plant identification through finished product verification. We only use the finest organic, cultivated, biodynamic, ethically wild crafted, and best quality plants and then preserve their integrity by adding only natural ingredients. Certified organic kosher non-GMO cane alcohol, certified organic & kosher vegetable glycerin, organic cold-pressed olive oil, and/or mountain spring water from a local aquifer are added to extract the desired plant properties through a time-intensive traditional maceration process. This process is similar to making fine wine.

Many of the raw materials used to manufacture our products are sourced from local farms in the Pacific Northwest. All of our products are manufactured on-site at our FDA inspected facility located in Creswell, Oregon. This allows for the highest level of quality control throughout the entire process of production. All Wise Woman Herbals products are GMO-free, peanut-free, wheat-free and are also free of soy, gluten, corn, and dairy.

Our comprehensive botanical product line is comprised of superior liquid extracts, solid extracts, glycerites, capsules, teas, salves, essential oils, syrups, and elixirs. The exceptional strengths we achieve in our chemical-free processes are the result of individual attention given to each extract by our staff of highly trained certified herbalists. The result is the unsurpassed quality that we have become recognized for by both practitioners and throughout our industry. We accomplish all of the aforementioned while adhering to strict quality control standards and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices.

Healthcare practitioners continue to choose our products due to their renowned concentration, quality, and efficacy. We welcome you and extend our gratitude for choosing Wise Woman Herbals.
